Being trained as educators at Hewat College of Education during the turbulent years of our country’s struggle (1980’s), the co-founders Kurt and Joanne started their teaching careers in Mitchells Plain, Western Cape in 1989. Being privy to the challenges and development needs in education they decided to enter the training and development industry.
They presented their proposal to the Western Cape Education Department (WCED) and in 2000 were awarded a pilot project to train Educators in Personal and Interpersonal skills. The pilot was celebrated as a great success story by a company appointed by WCED as an independent evaluator of the program.
Thereafter the WCED proceeded with a provincial roll out of the program.
Since then PDC has established itself as a specialist in designing and delivering staff training programs with an integrated EQ component. PDC has delivered programs in South Africa, Namibia and Kenya.
Since 2013, Leadership Coaching and Team Coaching has been added to the PDC service catalogue. PDC coaching associates are exclusively practitioner coaches who have completed an International Coach Federation (ICF) Accredited Training Program.
The year 2017 sees them embarking on eLearning, online profiling and mobile App development to make training more accessible, convenient and cost effective for their clients.
